Regarding COI, in my (very) short time with the JED team it was the case that team members always asked someone else to handle not only extension approval, but reviews, replies etc if there were any coi or even a chance of perceived coi.
As I always say - communication is the key. When ou communicate you avoid "issues"
@Beat, I agree with inflecting to a positive tone (where possible, like how do you frame "no sexually explicit stuff" in a white list format), however, I think the rules are fairly simplistic as is. Can you give me an example of how to make the whole package simpler (eg, what's you version of the TOS)?
I just looked and my other update is missing. So I will just add it here.
We are at 99% complete and await only a few tweaks. The Trademark and GPL guidelines are the same as the other TM guidelines to my knowledge and we will try to help as much as possible.
Perhaps this one won't disappear.

I won't lie and say I'm not interested and definitely would like to say "I would like my templates added" but that will depend on when the JTD will be live and running? I've been busy with themes for another "cough cough, cms" but definitely need to get back to the Joomla templates. I've just started working on the Joomla version of my Incantation theme but whether that will be ready before the JTD goes live will depend on when that will be? But the interest is there.

Joomla Template Directory is excellent idea, is it going to be listing of all the free templates?
