JoomStew Radio had the opportunity to sit down this week with one of the Lead Developers of the Joomla! project, Andrew Eddie. It's always a great pleasure to speak with Andrew, and today's show was no different.
Joomla will be releasing Joomla 1.7 in the next 30 days, and we got a chance to talk to Andrew about the new release, the changes in the Development Release Cycle, the Framework Separation, Ebay and Microsoft involvement in the Joomla Project and his thoughts on Forks based on Joomla code.
I'd like to take a minute to give special thanks to my co-hosts Dianne Henning and Alice Grevet for all they do to keep this place going. Without them, we wouldn't have a show and I'd be off doing something else by now. Thanks Ladies.
As always, thanks to Andrew for taking the time to share his thoughts with us, it's never a boring show when we get a chance to speak with you.

I caught the last 10 minutes on Wed, just because I was away from the computer til then...sounded like the whole muting thing was resolved! It was good, can't wait to catch a whole show.

on Friday, 21 May 2010 09:34Yes, Robert and I practiced before the show: Mute-on, mute-off, mute-on, mute-off. So, we were all warmed up when we started. Also, Robert got better music for the intro and that helped.
