I would love to hear the definition of "non-GPL Joomla! extensions". Ours have been rejected few times in the last days, even we have stated everywhere that these are GPL. It is impossible to get feedback from the JED team. It is like a black hole. Example (that has nothing to do with the rejected extensions - these are 100% GPL): There is a very cool JavaScript file that has dual-license. It has custom license, that is almost GPL compatible (i.e. gives you all the rights, but only after paying to the original developer some money). We as developers have paid to have these freedoms (i.e. include in our work, re-distribute etc.), however it is still with its own license, that is not exactly GPL. Can we have a component that includes that JS file within the package or not? Everything else in that package is GPL. I know that this is not the topic here, but there is no place where any developer could have any feedback, because the JED team is simply ignoring any type of communication.

A year back I have asked many times if OSM can provide localize.joomla.org to host Web Based Translations for Joomla project on it which was actually selected for a JSOP 2010 program and was never started because zero feedback from OSM. You can find more about it here: http://bit.ly/t9GDe6 I think that it is time to ask again if what I have in mind can happen this year.

Parth Lawate
Hey everyone.. Again i am not sure where to go for this..

I want to offer our SocialAds extension for JomSocial for the People site..
Its pretty stable now & is being received very well.. It can be used to raise funds for the community by letting developers pay or use JomSocial points to promote their extensions.. Additionally even JUG events & Groups can be promoted using this.

With features that allow targeting by country & other demographics, it could add great value.. What do you guys think ?

Hi Sandra,
Sorry to be a bore.. But needed to check if you were able to review J!MailAlerts for use on this site.. We have just released a rock stable new version & are using it on some client's networks & its really helping..

Hi all, I'd got a mail last week about testing some of our extensions for the community site.. How do we take it forward ?

We'd like to offer some of our extensions to the People site as we feel they can be a big value addition. Is this the right place to put the idea forward/ discuss it ?
