I am Sean Carney. I have used Joomla since it was Mambo but never been a power user. Wish I was better at it. That of course is why I came looking to see if there was a users group in Austin. I am glad to find you here and looking forward to a get together. I have a few Joomla sites that are old Joomla 1.5 sites, and a couple 1.7 sites I am working on now. Here is a site that I never work on but use for playing and experiementing and of course linking to my other sites: http://www.CarneyCorner.com

Welcome! I'm glad to see the number keep increasing. Hopefully we don't lose anyone in the move to the new site.

I am looking for help to redesign how I do templates on my Joomla 1.7.x sites that I converted from Joomla 1.6. I did not do a good job architecturally. I need to use over rides instead of editing the templates and themes out of the box.

I am using JoomlArt templates which may complicate things. But, they are great templates.

When is the next group meeting. Any JoomlArt gurus in Austin?

Thank you,

Joomla 1.5.22 was just released. This is a security release that addresses a Low Priority - Core - SQL Injection Information Disclosure Vulnerability.

Make sure you update your sites to the latest stable version.

Wow, first (after Darren)! I'm a relatively new Joomlavert (if that's what someone who has become a big believer in Joomla and is converting to using it for web site development is called). I'm using Joomla to develop the web sites for a couple of business ventures I'm working on.

Thanks, Darren, for starting a JUG in Austin. I look forward to seeing where this goes.
