A couple of things that might be useful to the group over time are:
General information about tools people use to overcome common problems such as site backups, galleries for images/video, controlling content (contributors, governance, etc), ACL, mass mailing users etc... Administrator stuff, what does everyone/I/you use and why?
Also, what to do when I install an extension and it breaks something, or I install/uninstall an extension and it breaks the site, just hope it's not a production site :p ?
Development stuff, where do I go for tutorials to get started, some of us are developers, some come from other web technologies, but on a question at the first meeting it would be good to go over the API somewhat to show (c, java, drupal, pure php developers) how to use it effectively if Joomla documentation does not feel adequate to answer my question?
Those who don't know Firebug, a brief overview on how to use it in the context of Joomla?

Just a reminder we have another Toowoomba JUG meeting tonight. Note the change on venue to the Customer Service Centre at 4 Little Street, and change of time to 7 pm. Access is via the door under the old covered carpark.
