Well I think one of the big problems for many of the free CCK and other free components is that they lack of documentation. We all know how time consuming it is to develop a component that delivers great value and I'm sure most of the people wouldn't mind to pay for a CCK who offers great support and documentation. What's the point to develop a great component if only a couple of people know how it works and get the best out of it? If you want your component to become popular make it accessible to most of people, make it easy to use, create great documentation and make people pay for it or pay for the component.

Check the videos, examples tutorials, download the components and install it. Test with some "packs" how it works.

Plan and structure your site and start build it. Take time to learn but sure worth it.

Amazing guys and Joomla component!

I know I will be using jSeblod in the future...but it seems a pretty steep learning curve.

Any suggestions on where to start for a site that will use jselblod to display and virtuemart to sell mp3's (conference recordings)?

I have 2 requests to fulfill -
1 - to be able to give my customers a way to easily update the website articles from the front-end
2 - to be able to make articles appear in a nice neat box and arrange 4 of them on the front page
Will jSeblod be able to do this for me? Thanks in advance for the help!
