I wanted to take a few minutes to explain the Community Manager roles in People.Joomla.org as well as introduce you to our amazing team of CM's.

Community Managers have a much different position than a moderator on the forum.  There are very few actual rules in place on JPeople, however there are some organizational guidelines to maintain consistency throughout the site as well as overal ease for the visitors.

Most of the CM's manage the members, groups and posts which are written in many different languages.  They communicate with the members and advise on issues that arise.

Other CM's are leaders from their leg of the project.  They oversee the organization of groups and discussion topics that relevant to their team focus.

We appreciate each and every one of these volunteers for their involvement in the JPeople site.  With their help we hope that every member has a pleasant experience. We are actively seeking others who would be interested in being a CM for specific languages.  Please message Sandra or Philippe for details.
